Legendary boxer Floyd Mayweather expressed his desire to join the world of NFT and is ready to auction a limited edition digital collection in collaboration with IronBend.
The NFT collection will be developed by Reality Gaming Group which is renowned in the blockchain domain and the digital work will celebrate the legacy of Floyd Mayweather’s life and career. It will will include personal and rare items from the legendary boxer.
The NFT collection is scheduled to launch on May 26 ahead of a great fight between him and popular Youtube star Logan Paul. Speaking of the upcoming NFT collection, Mayweather stated,
“I started from nothing and worked hard to achieve what I have now. I don’t see myself as a celebrity - I see myself as an icon. My name will be stuck based on my contribution in the hearts of fans. This digital collection gives everyone the opportunity to be a part of the Mayweather Legacy. ”
Non-Fungible tokens aka NFT are nothing new and have been in use for almost three years until now, with its main use being in-game rewards in video games.
