How to Know a Pyramid Scheme?

 Pyramid !? This is all a Jewish agenda, we are the ones who are negligent.

The pyramid scheme is believed to have been pioneered by a firm in the United States (US), Vemma Nutrition in 2004. It offers life -changing opportunities to people to generate ‘full -time income’ by simply ‘working part -time’.

The modus operandi of the firm is as simple as 2 steps, namely;

1) one has to buy a firm’s health products that cost $ 500-600 dollars

2) one then has to find another 2 people to make the same thing

It opened up a good marketing strategy as Vemma Nutrition managed to grow to the point of attracting 30 new members in just one month and earning a profit of 220 million dollars in 2013.

However, the profit is not the profit of the member but the profit of the firm only. This is because in order to recover the capital of the purchased product, a person must recruit others to buy and sell the firm's products and the person recruited earlier needs to recruit others under him as well.

The cycle will be repeated as long as the recruiting activity remains continuous.

In 2015, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) announced Vemma Nutrition had been shut down for engaging in a case of ‘cheating and committing illegal acts’ and hiding behind a multilevel marketing strategy (MLM) company.

In this case MLM and pyramid scheme are two different things including ponzi scheme in Malaysia which involves Pak Man Telo.

Pyramid schemes have been banned in most countries however it is difficult to identify as they hide behind the name of MLM. Both use the same capital but different objectives and outcomes.

In Malaysia, pyramid schemes are often associated with seditious words such as, "until when do I want to spend my parents' money", "I don't want to take my parents to Mecca for Hajj", and usually target those in their 20s who are desperate to manipulated.

Many who lose in this pyramid scheme will blame themselves because they feel they are not trying hard enough to find others instead of blaming the scheme itself to the point of ultimately damaging themselves, society and the country.
