 A Boeing 737-800 belonging to China Eastern Airlines carrying 132 passengers crashed in the mountains of southern China on Tuesday, but no signs of casualties were found in the crash.


According to a Civil Aviation Administration (CAA) report, a Boeing 737 aircraft was traveling from Kunming City to Guangzhou before it lost contact in the city of Wuzhou.


The ill -fated plane had plunged from an altitude of 31,000 feet in the air when it crashed, causing a huge fire around the South China mountain forest area.


A statement from China Eastern Airlines confirmed that there were 132 passengers on board the ill -fated plane and as soon as it crashed they activated safety procedures, besides immediately directing the rescue team to the scene as soon as possible.


The airline also said an investigation was underway to find the cause of the plane crash, while also expressing sympathy for the families of the affected victims.



In addition, Chinese media reported that the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) of the United States (US) will work with the CAA in finding the owner of the accident.


However, the mystery is that no signs of 'victims' were found in the area of ​​the ill-fated plane crash.


Sources from CNBC said no bodies or survivors were found in the crash site.


He added that the missing passengers were still not found in the area and only the wreckage of the plane was found after the fire that broke out was successfully extinguished.


Chinese President Xi Jinping also ordered the investigation and search for the victims involved in the crash in the vicinity of where it crashed.


Meanwhile, Boeing shares have plunged 7% overnight since the ill -fated plane crashed.
