World -renowned video game developer PUBG, Krafton announced a partnership between their company and Solana Lab. Krafton has signed an agreement with Solana Labs to jointly develop blockchain and NFT-based games and services. Krafton at the same time also informed that they intend to take advantage of web3 by developing 'games' on it.
The move marks that there has been a rapid development in blockchain and Play-to-Earn (P2E)-based gaming where it has attracted gaming companies to take advantage of the opportunities offered by crypto.
Solana currently ranks ninth in the crypto market in terms of market capitalization worth nearly $ 30 billion. Blockchain allows developers to build high -scale applications. These features have prompted Krafton to partner with blockchain companies.
Krafton is no stranger to web3, hence the deal with Solata is an added value in the efforts of game developers in web3 technology. On the other hand, last February, Krafton announced that they had invested $ 6.6 million in the South Korean NFT market Seoul Auction Blue and XBYBLUE. Not only that, Krafton also agreed to develop the NFT project with the two companies.
Krafton isn’t the only ‘gaming’ company expanding their colony into the crypto market. Gaming companies such as Zynga and Ubisoft have made similar efforts.
