Two South Korean presidential candidates who received the highest votes have joined the metaverse to interact with the people through presence in the form of avatars.

It is understood the candidates are: Lee Jae-yung from the Democratic Party; and Yoon Suk-yeol of the People's Power Party appeared as an avatar on the metaverse of the local television network, MBN to answer questions from the people who also participated in the event.

Most of those present to ask questions of the presidential candidate were from the youth group aged 20 to 30 years.

Among the topics that were the focus of the session included the issue of unemployment and housing policy.

Interestingly, both candidates vouch for the future of crypto in South Korea. Of course this brings hope for young people especially crypto investors.

Based on the latest data, the country is witnessing the growth of the crypto space until the number of investors aged 20 to 30 years reaches about 5.58 million!

Touching on the metaverse, Yoon has previously produced more than 22,000 non-fungible tokens (NFT) worth 50,000 won (RM169.64) per unit.

Apparently, if one of them wins the presidential election this season, it is not impossible that the crypto industry in South Korea will be more vibrant in line with the development of NFT, metaverse, and Web3.

This is undeniable when Meta itself acknowledges that South Korea has the best environment for the metaverse.
