Leading gainers among the S&P 500 index components in today's trading were Tesla Inc, which rose 7.91% to 993.98, EPAM Systems Inc, which gained 6.92% to close at 303.72, and shares of Moderna Inc, which rose 6.47% to close the session at 186.72. The biggest losers were Weyerhaeuser Company, which shed 2.55% to close at 38.19. Shares of Hess Corporation shed 2.19% to end the session at 101.58. Quotes of Mosaic Co decreased in price by 2.17% to 65.74. Leading gainers among the components of the NASDAQ Composite in today's trading were JX Luxventure Ltd, which rose 119.50% to 4.39, Q And K International Group Ltd, which gained 50.69% to close at 2. 17, as well as Draganfly Inc, which rose 41.32% to end the session at 2.36.

The CBOE Volatility Index, which is based on S&P 500 options trading, fell 2.51% to 22.94, hitting a new monthly low. Gold futures for April delivery lost 0.47%, or 9.10, to hit $1.00 a troy ounce. In other commodities, WTI crude for May delivery fell 0.98%, or 1.08, to $108.89 a barrel. Futures for Brent oil for May delivery fell 0.55%, or 0.64, to $114.98 a barrel. Meanwhile, in the forex market, the EUR/USD pair remained unchanged 0.14% to 1.10, while USD/JPY rose 1.13% to hit 120.82. Futures on the USD index fell 0.01% to 98.49.
