Email marketing platform Mailchimp has confirmed that hackers hacked into their system and stole more than 100 user data, including the Trezor wallet used for cryptocurrency storage.

It is understood the hack took place on March 26 after the tamper tried to access a device used by user support and account management.

After that, Trezor users received emails alleging their account was involved in a data breach.

The email also includes an updated Trezor Suite download link with instructions for providing a new pin.

Even though, this link is a phishing tactic where the tempter will collect all data related to the Trezor wallet.

Of the 300 accounts that were targeted, only 102 accounts were successfully tempted.

The device manufacturing company finally took to Twitter to raise the issue on April 3:

MailChimp have confirmed that their service has been compromised by an insider targeting crypto companies.

We have managed to take the phishing domain offline. We are trying to determine how many email addresses have been affected. 1/
