As far as the eyes can see, Bursa Maintains Rally for 3 Consecutive Opening Sessions

At 9am the benchmark FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) was up 6.54 points at 1,537.84 from Tuesday's close of 1,531.30.


The index opened 0.47 points strong at 1,531.77.


The bourse continued its opening session in the green region for 3 consecutive sessions as a result of renewed buying interest amid the emergence of mixed sentiment in regional markets.


On the broader market, investors saw gainers at 224 outpacing losers at 175, while 254 counters were unchanged, 1,656 untraded and 24 suspended.


Total turnover at 288.65 million units worth RM120.54 million.



A note from Malacca Securities Sdn Bhd stated that the local bourse may be hit by the tempias of the technology stock selling session on Wall Street today.


Even so, they also expect consumer -themed stocks and real estate investment trust stocks to fill the market based on business recovery catalysts.


Heavyweights saw Malayan Banking Bhd (Maybank) and IHH Healthcare Bhd gain 1 sen at RM8.97 and RM6.41, Public Bank Bhd added 4 sen at RM4.54 and Petronas Chemicals Group Bhd gained 6 sen at RM10.02.


Active stocks saw Sapura Energy Bhd gain 0.5 sen at 9.0 sen, KNM Group Bhd advanced 1 sen at 16.5 sen while Serba Dinamik Holdings Bhd and MNC Wireless Bhd remained at 10 sen and 1.5 sen, respectively.


On the index board, FBM ACE reached 38.92 points at 5,230.36, FBM Emas Shariah index rose 39.23 points at 11,390.19, FBM Emas index drove 35.78 points at 10,986.06, FBMT100 index collected 37.38 points at 10,659.52 and FBM70 strengthened 13.63 points at 13,095.20.


In terms of sectors, the Products and Services Industry index added 0.21 points at 198.81, the Financial Services index drove 62.95 points at 16,537.52 and the Plantation index expanded 85.85 points at 8,080.78.
