Brave Browser Now Supports Solana (SOL) In Latest Update

The Brave Browser internet browser has launched the version 1.39 update and it comes with Solana blockchain support, including SOL coins and Solana Program Library (SPL) tokens.

Through the latest update, Brave Wallet can be used for the purpose of purchasing, selling, and storing SOL as well as SPL tokens through the payment platform, Ramp.

The presence of Ramp actually makes it easier for crypto investors to trade these digital assets without having to access exchange platforms like Coinbase and Binance.

At the same time, Brave users also have the opportunity to earn a Basic Attention Token (BAT) with the option of viewing ads while browsing the website.

BAT can be ‘wrapped’ and used as an SPL token if transferred via a Wormhole connector as it is compatible with Ethereum and Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM).

This also means that in the near future BAT holders will have the opportunity to trade non-fungible tokens (NFT) using those tokens on the Magic Eden platform developed in Solana.

This cooperation indirectly proves that Solana still has demand, especially those who want fast transactions at low prices.

SOL & BAT reactions

At the time of writing, a SOL unit is worth $ 49.36, down 0.02% in 24 hours and nearly 13% since last week.

The coin, which was once a rival of Ethereum, needs a jump of at least 81% to redeem its all-time highest value (ATH), $ 260 on November 6th.

While BAT recorded a price increase of almost 1%, it traded at $ 0.39 and is down more than 4% since last week.

BAT has slipped nearly 80% from ATH’s record, $ 1.92 on Nov. 28th.
