World tech giant Apple Inc. forecasts revenue of 36% at $ 8.2 billion by 2025 through its gaming and music subscription services offerings.
The projection is set by Apple as a move to leverage its large user base in driving the company’s subscription services.
JP Morgan analyst Samik Chatterjee explained that Apple's two service offerings are expected to have a combined customer base of 180 million by 2025.
The figure can be achieved through the rapid expansion of internet usage and the gaming sector, with a breakdown of 110 million subscriptions for music services as well as 70 million for the gaming industry.
For the record, Apple's music service launched in 2015 could bring in a revenue return of $ 7 billion while its gaming service is estimated to be worth $ 1.2 billion by 2025.
Chatterjee also projects that by 2028, gaming services could achieve a revenue return of $ 360 billion.
Meanwhile, the iPhone maker's subscription services include the App Store, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade and Apple Music which recorded revenue of $ 19.82 billion in the March quarter.
