‘No wind, no storm, suddenly the rain came to hit.’

A week after Elon Musk’s ‘threats’ about the dismissal of his employees, Tesla’s Singapore branch manager was fired yesterday.

It is common knowledge that Musk previously planned to cut at least 10% of Tesla Inc.'s workforce, following inflationary pressures that have caused the electric car (EV) company's performance to plummet in recent times.

In the series, Christopher Bousigues, who works as the manager of Tesla's plant in Singapore, has become the first 'victim' of Musk's dismissal plan.

Bousigues through a sharing on his personal LinkedIn page said that the position he held for a year has been 'terminated'.

No other reason for the dismissal could be determined but Bousigues said he and his team had 'built a business in Singapore from the ground up'.

Among Bousigues' contributions so far were the establishment of 2 showrooms, 1 service center and bringing in the Tesla Model Y to Singapore last week.

So far Bousigues, who became Tesla’s first manager In Southeast Asia, has not given any further statements including his former employer.
