The country's low-cost airline, Capital A plans to begin full operational capacity by March 2023.

The statement was issued by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Tony Fernandes who expressed the company's excitement to fly all 180 airplanes it owns.

According to him, at the domestic level, Capital A is already operating at almost 80% while at the international level it is at 35%.

In addition, the record load factor in the 2nd quarter (Q2) which stood at 84% which is the same level as during the pre-pandemic has indicated that air travel has improved.

Arguing about air fares, Fenandes underlined the factor of the increase in oil prices that could affect the fares to be higher.

Touching on the issue of air travel disruption due to high demand, Capital A believes that Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) has its own plan in ensuring that the airport is always ready.

In the meantime, AirAsia's wholly owned application Super App is seen growing rapidly and becoming the first in the Asian region to provide a full-time job platform for riders.

It is understood that riders who work full-time will receive benefits like other jobs including the benefits of the Employees' Provident Fund (EPF), Social Security Organization and medical coverage and others.

As of this writing, shares are trading flat 0.76% at 66 sen with a market capitalization of RM2.75 billion.
