Firms from China are seen topping the '100 Most Valuable Brands' ranking despite experiencing supply chain disruptions behind the inflationary situation and the Covid-19 closure measures that challenge business activities.
According to a list released by Kanta BrandZ*, China's leading sportswear brand Li Ning Co posted the fastest brand value jump in history by 66% at $3.4 billion.
*A firm that collects financial data and brand equity research to measure the contribution of a brand to the financial performance of a business.
Looking at the list again, a total of 47 brands managed to build a name on the world stage this year compared to only 40 in 2021.
Among those who stole the spotlight was the consumer technology brand TCL, which ranked 94th after successfully getting a contract with FIBA, Copa America and several other international sports stars.
Additionally, lifestyle social platform newcomer Xiaohongshu managed to rank 37th with a brand value of $6.6 billion while home appliance maker Haier broke into the top 10.
The industry's biggest players from China such as Tencent Holdings Ltd remain in the top 4 while Alibaba Group Holdings Ltd is in the 2nd position.
