A whistle-blower filed a complaint that Twitter Inc provided "non-transparent" information to federal regulators about spam accounts on company-owned applications.

It is understood that the former Chief Security Officer Peiter Zatko, also a former hacker (hacker) known as 'Mudge', claimed that Twitter made up its security plan in a document given to the court.

Zatko's argument, Twitter informed in the document that they prioritize user growth over reducing spam accounts.

In addition, company executives are also said to be eligible for individual bonuses of $10 million tied to increases in daily users.

In general, Twitter did not explain any actions to reduce spam accounts in the 'blue bird' application according to Zatko.

In response, Twitter labeled Zatko's complaint as a 'false narrative'.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Twitter, Parag Agrawal, explained that his side will continue to review the allegations, but insisted that Zatko's accusations are a false narrative full of inconsistencies and inaccuracies.

It is well known that Twitter and Musk are currently involved in a lawsuit following the company's failed acquisition of $44 billion.

For context, Twitter has asked a Delaware Court of Chancery judge to force Musk to proceed with the deal after the billionaire terminated the acquisition citing spam account problems.

In the meantime, Zatko's complaint has been submitted to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) of the United States (US), the Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).
