Albert Bourla, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Pfizer Inc has been confirmed positive for Covid-19 and is receiving treatment with the Paxlovid vaccine.
The matter was announced by Bourla himself through Twitter, saying that he had tested positive and was undergoing self-isolation.
According to the company's statement, Bourla is said to be in good condition but he also shows mild symptoms of Covid-19.
Please note that Bourla has previously received 4 doses of the vaccine made by Pfizer in collaboration with BioNTech SE.
This makes the CEO one of many others including Joe Biden who has been infected despite receiving full vaccinations and additional shots.
In general, the Coronavirus has mutated into many more new variants and forced more research to find a solution.
In the meantime, Bourla through a thread in his speech said that he is very confident of recovery since the vaccine taken is clearly effective against the virus.
As of this writing Pfizer shares are trading 0.76% lower at $49.75 with a company capitalization of $279.12 billion.
