 Business and entrepreneur magazine, Forbes has released the list of Asia's Best Under A Billion 2022 on August 9 last and 7 local companies are seen featured in it.


To your knowledge, this annual published list aims to outline 200 public companies in the Asia Pacific region with sales of less than $1 billion and consistent overall growth.


The 7 Malaysian companies listed are;


CE Technology with sales of $31 million, net revenue of $9 million and market value of $87 million.

D&O Green Technologies with $204 million in sales, $27 million in net revenue and $1.13 billion in market value.

Greatech Technology with sales of $97 million, net revenue of $34 million and market value of $1.1 billion.

Kim Loong Resource with sales of $410 million, net income of $33 million and market value of $425 million.

Tashin Holdings with sales of $94 million, net income of $15 million and market value of $43 million.

UG Healthcare with $251 million in sales, $88 million in net revenue and $102 million in market value.

ViTrox with sales value of $164 million, net revenue of $41 million and market value of $1.68 billion.


According to Forbes, the way of listing is to identify 20,000 general trading companies in Asia Pacific with annual sales exceeding $10 million and under $1 billion and then 200 selected from them.


It is understood the selection will be made based on a composite score that combines the overall performance record including debt, sales and earnings growth of each share over the 1st and 3rd most recent fiscal years.


In addition, qualitative filters are also used, such as excluding companies that have serious management issues, doubtful accounts, environmental concerns, management issues or legal problems.


At the same time, the list shows 75 companies again listed onwards reflecting resilience in a fast-changing environment.


The general public knows that the context of shopping has now changed as the Covid-19 barrier is reduced.


The case has indirectly benefited clothing makers, entrepreneurs of shopping centers, restaurants, consumer electronics and entertainment companies.
