Due to national security and foreign policy concerns, the United States (US) added 7 more firms from China to its export control list.
The matter was confirmed by the US Department of Commerce through the Federal Register unit on Tuesday with almost all the firms listed being aerospace related.
Among the listed:
China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation 9th Academy 771 Research Institute.
China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation 9th Academy 772 Research Institute.
China Academy of Space Technology 502 Research Institute.
China Academy of Space Technology 513 Research Institute.
China Electronics Technology Group Corporation 43 Research Institute.
China Electronics Technology Group Corporation 58 Research Institute.
Zhuhai Orbital Control Systems.
This means that the 7 firms have to apply for a license first before sending any goods, supplies or services to the US.
According to a representative of the US Department of Commerce, the action was taken on the allegation that the firms were trying to acquire goods from Uncle Sam's country to support China's military modernization efforts.
In general, the crisis between the two countries worsened since US representative Nancy Pelosi stubbornly visited Taiwan despite strong opposition from China.
