The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) of the United States (US) reported an outbreak of E.coli bacteria in 4 countries that infected 84 people.

Looking at the CDC report, 38 of those have been hospitalized with 47 infected people failing to identify the source of their transmission.

Different sources said 52 of the 62 interviewed reported having enjoyed a meal at a Wendy's restaurant a week before experiencing pain.

So far the fast food chain Wendy's has not given further feedback.

Among the states in the US that have recorded outbreaks of E.coli are Michigan, Ohio, Indiana and Pennsylvania.

On the other hand, the World Health Organization (WHO) reports that Covid-19 has killed more than millions of people as of 2022.

Quoting the head of the WHO, Tedros Adhanim Ghebreyesus, almost 6.45 million deaths have been recorded since the Covid-19 virus was first detected at the end of 2019, describing the number of victims as a 'tragic achievement'.

Looking at the overall situation, the world is still threatened by various infectious diseases and global citizens are asked to take care of personal hygiene and safety.
