London Bridge Fallen Down! Queen Elizabeth Died At Age 96

 In the early hours of Friday morning local time, Queen Elizabeth II has died and indirectly ended her reign of 70 years in England.


The news of her death was announced in an official statement from Buckingham Palace which said Queen Elizabeth died peacefully at her home in Scotland at the age of 96.


Further to the statement, the queen's health is said to have deteriorated on Thursday and doctors rushed to Balmoral Castle in Scotland themselves confirmed her death.


Succeeding the throne of the Queen, who is most admired by the people of England, is King Charles III who is automatically appointed to lead the United Kingdom (UK) and 14 protectorates including Australia, Canada and New Zealand.


According to the 73-year-old King, he represented all the members of his family expressing sadness for the loss of his beloved mother and beloved Queen.


Also expressing sadness was UK Prime Minister Liz Truss who had just received the Queen's consent to form a Cabinet earlier this week.



In addition, Economy Minister Gordon Lyons in a statement expressed his sadness and sympathy for members of the Queen's family.


In the meantime, the Bank of England (BOE) is also seen expressing sympathy for the loss of the Queen and saying that the Pound currency printed with Elizabeth II's face will remain legal tender.


A statement from the BOE explained that currency notes decorated with Queen Elizabeth's face will continue to be used until further notice.


A Brief Life of Queen Elizabeth


Born on April 21, 1926 and ascended the throne on June 2, 1953 at the age of 27.


He was blessed with 4 children namely Prince Charles (1948), Princess Anne (1950), Prince Andrew (1960) and Prince Edward (1964) from his marriage to Prince Philip in 1947.


His death will be mourned by all the citizens of England and felt by the Commonwealth countries including Malaysia.
