Netflix's actions that over-cultured homosexuality in its service invited the anger of Muslim countries in the Middle East.
The governments of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait and Qatar (Gulf Cooperation Council), which have a Muslim population, issued stern warnings including the possibility of suing the streaming company.
This is because those countries say that Netflix's content that continues to promote homosexuality 'contradicts Islamic values and principles'.
According to a representative who read the official statement from the Gulf Cooperation Council, if Netflix is still stubborn and continues to publish content that contradicts Islamic values, then they will take legal action.
For the record, the Ekhbariya TV channel in Saudi Arabia once conducted an interview with a behavioral and family consultant who criticized Netflix's promotion of homosexuality towards children.
It then sparked a heated debate in social media and television in the Gulf countries regarding Netflix content that is considered harmful to children.
In the meantime, Netflix has yet to be contacted for any further statements on the issue.
As of this writing Netflix shares are trading up 4.84% at $228.96.
