The South Korean government issued the highest level of storm warning with Typhoon Hinnamnor threatening the security of the continent forcing the suspension of business operations.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA), strong winds mixed with heavy rain are expected to occur throughout the country until Tuesday with high waves predicted to storm the coast along with storms and tsunamis.
In addition, President Yoon Suk-Yeol has ordered the closure of operations and ordered the authorities to do their best to minimize the damage caused by the typhoon.
A little summary about Typhoon Hinnamnor, it is moving at a speed of 53 meters per second and is categorized as an 'extremely strong' storm which is now understood to have caused damage in the city of Busan and is heading towards the Jeju islands.
Typhoon Hinnamnor is said to be moving towards Sapporo in Japan while passing through cities such as Gwangju, Busan, Daegu and Ulsan in South Korea.
As a result, several major South Korean companies such as Hyundai Heavy Industries, Daewon Shinbuilding & Marine Engineering including Samsung and LG Electronic will suspend their business operations for several days.
Also affected are Korean Air Lines and Asiana Airlines which will stop any flights due to the airport being closed for security reasons.
