People who are "shopping" can't wait when Mexico opens its first metaverse shopping center called Island Shopping Mall.
According to the local media channel Cultura Empresarial, users need to download the shopping center application on the Appstore and Google Play if they wish to enjoy a variety of unique experiences.
He added that users are also allowed to make online purchases and earn gems and tokens to exchange for product discount coupons at the mall.
It is also understood that 80 brands have been officially certified by dividing the categories of each product so that consumers can make purchases easily.
Among the top brands confirmed are Bath & Body Works, LA Colors, GOC, Bissú, Golden, LA Girl, Momiji, Pai Pai, and Victoria's Secret while the developer of Island Shopping Mall also signed an agreement with "The Savings Group Limited".
This follows because it is a leading British company capable of creating discount coupons to integrate 879 brands such as Adidas, Nike, Puma, Bershka, Guess, Apple and Levi's.
Nevertheless, there are some well-known brands that have taken an early step into the metaverse, such as Nike developing its business strategy on non-fungible tokens (NFT), Guess building a metaverse store while Apple designed its own hardware to create the virtual world experience.
In context, most Mexicans are now more interested in investing in the metaverse after the country launched the "Metaverse Mexico Bootcamp" last month.
Explained further, the event serves as an exercise in business models in the metaverse, providing exposure related to the use of cryptocurrencies as well as offering lectures and exhibitions.
As of this writing, Mexico's metaverse market is the largest in Latin America as it has 13,000 investors who have shelled out large sums of money for metaverse companies.
