Nissan, the world's largest car manufacturer has announced the launch of a non-fungible token (NFT) for its latest game called Torque Drift 2.
In context, Torque Drift 2 is a spin-off from Australia-based multi-platform video game studio called Greece Monkey Games that focuses on motor sports.
The string, Greece Monkey Games and Monkey Games is likely to implement 15 unique models of Nissan within 12 months by creating various variations of Torque Drift 2 game.
In the game, the official Nissan NXT 180SX model will have five variants while the Sil80 and 370Z models will have seven variants.
It is understood that the 15 Nissan NFTs are the first licensed NFTs that will be available in the game on the Polygon side-chain.
According to Urvit Goel, head of Global Game Business development at Polygon studios stated that he plans to bring Nissan into the Web3 space with Torque Drift 2 representing blockchain and NFT technology.
Meanwhile, Nissan will also collaborate with various global brands such as Mercedes to make crypto-related projects a success.
In fact, the collaboration between Nissan and Torque Drift 2 will allow the game studio to have full access to all models and spare parts of Nissan, Datsun and Infiniti vehicles.
Explained, the 3D model will be designed taking into account the choice of vehicle finish, color choice including the type of engine to be used.
