America 'Forcing' Ukraine to Negotiate With Russia?

Apparently in the silence of the administration of the President of the United States, Joe Biden urged Ukraine to open negotiations with Russia.

According to The Washington Post, which cited a source close to the discussion, America also asked Ukraine to withdraw its statement that it refused to participate in peace talks as long as Russia was led by President Vladimir Putin.

The report added that the phenomenon of 'Ukraine fatigue' experienced by the US and its allies will get worse if negotiations fail.

It not only affects the supply and cost of food and fuel, but also undermines support within the Republican party to continue funding the Ukrainian military.

This leaves the Biden administration likely to face opposition following Tuesday's midterm elections over its efforts to continue the country's largest security aid program to Ukraine.

The streak indirectly shows how complicated the position of the Biden administration is on Ukraine, not to mention when US officials publicly promise to support Kyiv but at the same time hope for a solution to its war with Russia.

The White House National Security Council did not immediately comment when asked about the report. Instead, a State Department spokesman responded by saying Russia must immediately stop attacking Ukraine if it wants negotiations.
