'Even if you don't like iOS, don't crash and cause death.'
At least one victim was killed and 17 others injured when a sports utility vehicle (SUV) crashed into an Apple store in Massachusetts, United States (US) yesterday.
Citing sources from the US media, a black Toyota 2019 4Runner vehicle crashed into an iPhone store known as the Apple Store, breaking the windshield of the premises.
The incident left one victim dead and 17 others rushed to the hospital and according to Plymonth District Attorney Timothy Cruz the overall investigation is still ongoing.
In addition, in the press conference Cruz also quoted the statement of Hingham Police Chief David Jones who said that the accident still cannot be determined whether it was done on purpose or not.
In the meantime, Apple issued an official company statement in response to the incident not long after.
In its statement, Apple said that the company was very shocked and saddened by the incident, while also conveying its sympathy to the families of the affected victims.
For now, Apple shares are still seen falling 2.17% at $148.02, but the decline is not expected to be affected by the breach that resulted in one victim being killed.
