Payment services company Visa, which has been FIFA's official payment technology partner for a long time, will launch a non-fungible token (NFT) featuring famous goals from five iconic soccer players.
It is understood that the official sponsor of FIFA's cryptocurrency trading platform, Crypto.com has started offering Visa Master of Movement NFT on its platform.
The sale of the NFT is said to take place before the 2022 World Cup at the interactive FIFA Fan Festival Doha on November 20 and December 18, while supporters will be able to bid on the Visa Masters of Movement NFT on Crypto.com on November 8.
The creation of digital works can provide a golden opportunity for participants to create their own digital works of art and mint them into their respective NFTs.
In context, the NFT consists of five artworks inspired by goals scored by Jared Borgetti, Tim Cahill, Carli Lloyd, Michael Owen, and Maxi Rodriguez.
According to Andrea Fairchild, Senior Vice President and Head of Sponsorship at Visa, the successful bidder who owns the NFT will also win a piece of memorabilia signed by the legendary player as one of the utilities.
He added that 100% of the proceeds from the auction will be donated to Street Child United, a charity based in the United Kingdom (UK) that meets the needs of street children around the world.
Meanwhile, Visa has served as FIFA's official payment service provider since 2007 to provide a unique experience to all die-hard football fans, whether they may be among the 1 million spectators in Qatar or the 5 billion viewers worldwide watching the tournament.
