The acquisition of WENEW and the successful sale of the 10KTF collection of non-fungible tokens (NFT) were successfully carried out by web3 leader Yuga Labs and Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC).
Explained, WENEW not only launched NFT related to political, sports, fashion and art events, but also signed agreements with leading companies such as Louis Vuitton, Playboy, Wimbledon, Gucci and Puma.
Meanwhile, NFT collection holders BAYC, Cool Cats and Moonbirds are allowed to display their respective digital avatars in the metaverse through 10KTF, a digital marketplace that is gaining popularity due to serial content publishing.
Following the acquisition, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and co-founder of WENEW Michael Figge will lead the position as Chief Content Officer at Yuga Labs to further develop and expand the company's innovation.
Meanwhile, Mike Winkelmann or better known as Beeple will work as an advisor to Yuga Labs when most of WENEW's employees also become full-time employees for the company.
It is also understood that the co-founder of Yuga Labs Greg Solano praised Figge, Beeple including the WENEW team for their efforts to develop web3 series stories in order to attract many individuals to delve into digital avatars.
In context, Yuga Labs is a web3 company that aims to create multiple utilities and expand the NFT market by launching the BAYC digital collection in April 2021.
In fact, Yuga Labs was one of the first companies to issue IP licenses to NFT holders in order to acquire and release their rights.
