After winning the 2022 World Cup tournament in Qatar, Argentina took a new step to delve into the world of the metaverse.
The Argentine Football Association (AFA) is reportedly set to sign a deal with Upland for its first appearance in the metaverse.
Through the agreement, the AFA will bring the Liga Profesional de Fútbol (LPF) to the Upland metaverse platform to empower fan engagement between fans, teams and Argentine footballers.
Apart from that, the AFA will launch a collection of non-fungible tokens (NFT) that digitally display teams, clubs, players, tickets, historical moments and various other utilities.
The launch will be a first for Upland which will offer buyers exclusive ownership of LPF match highlight videos.
Next, Upland will also allow users to start virtual businesses to resell their respective NFT collections, where the metaverse platform functions as a digital land ownership offering, asset creation and virtual economy.
It would also like to be informed that the release of the NFT collection aims to give Argentina's best players the opportunity to generate new income through buyers who trade the digital asset.
In the meantime, Upland's partnership policy with the best clubs Portugal FC and FIFA is also the reason why the agreement with AFA can be signed without any obstacles.
