"Johnson must be stressed if he likes to be pressured, right"
The brother of the former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom (UK) Boris Johnson, Joseph Edmund Johnson or better known as Jo Johnson has reportedly resigned from his position as an advisor to Bifinity, a payment technology subsidiary founded by Binance.
It was reported that Johnson resigned last week following Binance's repeated pressure on him to increase transparency after being appointed to the advisory board in September this year.
According to Johnson, the establishment of Bifinity in March this year was due to the fact that crypto exchange giant Binance faced various obstacles in obtaining regulatory approval to launch its operations in the UK.
This follows because the UK authorities not only prevent Binance from providing any type of service, but also consider that the company should not be able to offer its services anywhere.
Following that, Binance applied for the appropriate regulatory permit in November of this year, but was also entangled in the issue of allegations by the United States (US) Department of Justice for violating anti-money laundering laws.
Generally, Bifinity is a fintech company that connects businesses, merchants and millions of users to the world of crypto and blockchain.
While the company led by Helen Hai also supports more than 50 cryptocurrencies through major payment methods such as VISA and Mastercard.
