'Cars filled with oil near BP may be haunted by the sounds of screams.'

The adviser to the President of Ukraine, Oleg Ustenko, condemned the oil company British Petroleum (BP) for its investment involvement in the Russian energy firm, Rosneft.

This follows BP's 19.75% stake in Rosneft before the outbreak of the Russia-Ukraine war early last February.

An angry Ustenko in a letter to BP's chief executive, Bernard Looney described the company as receiving 'blood money' from millions of Ukrainian victims as a result of their investment.

Previously, BP was said to have sold its stake in Rosneft and even given up two board seats at the firm shortly after the war broke out in February.

But the latest rumors say BP remains the winner of the Rosneft stake with insiders reporting the company is still in the process of being divested but stuck due to the political situation.

As a result, BP is still eligible to receive the dividend payment plan announced by Rosneft last month, with the company rumored to have received £580 million from their investment.

This matter clearly provoked the anger of Ukraine and Ustenko in his letter said that if it is true that BP received the dividend, then the company should donate it to the war victims.

In addition, Ustenko also advised Looney not to profit from the 'blood' of Ukrainians who died and to plan the best strategy to return to business as usual.

The response from BP said that they will continue with their plans to exit Russia and have no intention of returning to 'do business' with that country again after this.

In addition, BP has also insisted that its investment of more than £20 billion in Rosneft has been disposed of and that it has not received any benefits from the energy firm.
