A funny statement written by former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag on his Twitter account has caught the attention of crypto-investors until his tweet went viral.
Sehwag has previously also frequently tweeted to poke fun at people on various issues, but recently he compared the volatile movement of the cryptocurrency market to the performance of his country's cricket team.
He wrote, "performance is collapsing faster than crypto, need to wake up and rise" referring to the Indian cricket team.
Explained in more detail, he is comparing the Indian cricket team to the fall of the crypto market as the team's performance has deteriorated with back-to-back losses to Bangladesh in the ongoing bilateral international series.
According to Sehwag on Twitter, he stated that the Indian team's performance has plummeted more drastically than the crypto market and they should act quickly to bounce back to beat their opponents.
This follows because India is in the third position in the ICC ODI team and continues to be beaten by Bangladesh who is ranked 7th.
In context, Sehwag is one of the celebrities who has delved into the world of Web3 when the former cricketer signed an agreement with the cricket digital collection platform, Rario in January 2022.
Meanwhile, Sehwag including other individuals reportedly also expressed his concern regarding the current crypto market which has suffered a severe fall following the crisis of the crypto exchange company FTX.
