'It's like giving signs of Covid to come back.'
Although the wave of Covid-19 subsided, it did not prevent the United States (US) vaccine manufacturer Moderna Inc from establishing a new facility in the United Kingdom (UK).
Accompanying the news of the establishment, Moderna will also create and offer 150 new jobs in Britain.
A government spokesperson commented that the facility, which acts as a manufacturing center, will start operating by 2025 and will produce approximately 250 million vaccines every year.
The spokesperson added that the company has invested nearly $1.33 billion in research and manufacturing in Britain before, and hopes that the 10-year collaboration will be able to find a solution to the pandemic threat.
In general, Moderna has produced a vaccine using RNA (mRNA) technology which has become Britain's main choice in dealing with the Covid-19 crisis for the past 2 years.
And the establishment of the facility is expected to further increase production and research and manufacturing including clinical trials of more vaccines against the discovery of new mutated viruses.
