Elon Musk's SpaceX space tourism program which was successfully bid by Japanese entrepreneur, Yusaku Maezawa was enlivened with influential individuals in the entertainment industry.
Among the big names listed by Maezawa are American DJ Steve Aoki and South Korean rapper Choi Seung Hyun (TOP).
Also on the shortlist is US YouTuber Tim Dodd (Everyday Astronaut) who often produces educational videos about space flight and astrophysics.
Through a channel that has 1.4 million followers, Dodd expressed disbelief at being chosen to fill Maezawa's space crew list.
Other influential names are Yemi A.D (dancer from the Czech Republic), Rhainnon Adam (photographer from Ireland), Karim Iliya (photographer from Britain), Brendan Hall (filmmaker from the US) and Dev Joshi (actor from India).
On the waiting list are Kaitlyn Farrington (US Olympic champion) and Miyu (Japanese dancer).
Scheduled to circle the moon from a distance of 200 kilometers for 8 days, the rocket used for the program has not yet received the approval of US regulators even though it has been 18 months since the first test was made.
Even so, Maezawa, who once became the world's first space tourist, is still optimistic and hopes that the adventure with his team can be used for the development of humanity.
