It appears that President Vladimir Putin did not mince words with his statement last week to end the Russia-Ukraine war.
This follows on from his latest statement over the weekend that he was willing to negotiate with Ukraine.
In an interview broadcast on Sunday, Putin said Russia was ready to negotiate with all involved to find a solution, saying it was up to Kyiv if it wanted it.
Responding to the statement, the adviser to the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that Putin needs to return to reality and admit that it is actually Russia that does not refuse to negotiate.
In addition, Putin also criticized Western countries for trying to divide Russia and also claimed that his attack in Ukraine was aimed at defending the interests of the country and its people.
This is not the first time that Russia has said its readiness, in fact Putin has said that the Kremlin is open to discussions but must follow its conditions, which is that Kyiv must submit to its demands and accept the annexation of four Ukrainian regions.
