South Korea and America conduct military exercises together.
Pyongyang described it as excessive.
North Korea threatens to retaliate.
The President of North Korea, Kim Jong Un seems to be not happy with the activities of the United States and its allies who are conducting military exercises on the Korean peninsula.
North Korea's Foreign Ministry issued a warning that the move was seen as excessive and it could trigger a strong response from the country.
The state news agency KCNA, which broadcast the statement, also said Pyongyang is not interested in talks as long as the US continues its hostile policy.
The statement also referred to US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin's visit to Seoul on Tuesday.
He and his South Korean counterpart pledged to increase military training and deploy more strategic assets such as aircraft carriers and long-range bombs.
Responding to the report, North Korea said it was a clear indication that Washington would turn the Korean peninsula into a major weapon of war and a more critical war zone.
He added that Pyongyang will respond to any US military moves and has a strong response strategy including a powerful nuclear force, if necessary.
Meanwhile in a separate report, South Korea said on Thursday that it had held joint air exercises with America.
It involved US B-1B long-range heavy bombers and stealth aircraft flying over the Yellow Sea.
