Cryptocurrency exchange company Crypto.com signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with South Korean drama production company Studio Dragon to launch a non-fungible token (NFT) based on the country's popular drama.
Crypto.com and Studio Dragon are said to be looking to release NFT collections for Studio Dragon's game DearRo which features South Korean drama series (K-drama) 'Crash Landing on You' and 'Start-Up'.
It is understood that the game allows players to dress up or become the main character in their favorite drama.
Explored in more detail by Crypto.com, they will release a 500-unit NFT collection, two global drama IPs and six main character costume cards sequentially in the near future.
While Studio Dragon also said that they will present NFT which introduces a new K-drama every quarter to interact more closely with its fans.
According to Patrick Yoon, the General Manager of South Korea's Crypto.com stated that the collaboration with Studio Dragon is part of its plan to instill the country's culture and art to its 80 million users worldwide.
In addition to Studio Dragon, Crypto.com also signed an agreement with South Korean entertainment agency Fantagio to launch the NFT project.
