"It's ok if you don't want to believe in crypto, but if you say that other people are stupid because they bought crypto, many people will get angry later."
After Berkshire Hathaway Vice Chairman Charlie Munger's scathing criticism of cryptocurrencies, CNBC news anchor Joe Kernen criticized him for having a lack of knowledge about digital assets.
This is because during an interview on CNBC's Squawk Box by Rebecca Quick, Munger who is known as an anti-crypto person said that individuals who oppose his statement are stupid because he still believes digital assets are pure fraud.
Munger commented that the United States (US) should ban crypto completely just like China did following his view that digital assets are not commodities or securities but gambling.
In the midst of the crypto market experiencing a drastic fall in 2022, he also stated that digital assets could weaken the world's national currencies.
This follows that he thinks the national currency has given more benefits than crypto while adding that smart people should avoid digital assets because he believes they are worthless.
Even so, Kernen said Munger's comments were completely unfounded and lacked a broad view of crypto, where he believed Munger knew about the digital asset through his friend who also had no knowledge.
