"Believe in crypto but don't believe in the metaverse, I guess why?"
Keanu Reeves, the actor of Neo in "The Matrix" and now popular with the action movie character "John Wick" is apparently a big fan of cryptocurrency and defines it as an amazing digital asset.
He also thinks crypto can grow in the future even though the market is still volatile.
Reeves while speaking in an interview with Wired to promote his latest movie "John Wick 4", was really interested in technology such as non-fungible tokens (NFT) and artificial intelligence (AI) that can provide various benefits to an individual.
Recently, he is listening to music made by AI in the style of Nirvana and there is also a collection of NFT.
Over the past few years, Reeves has been increasingly involved in the world of NFTs, where he has been an advisor to a digital arts charity called The Futureverse Foundation supported by NFT projects Non-Fungible Labs and Fluf World.
Among its main goals is to allow more artists especially from disadvantaged backgrounds to join the metaverse.
Even so, Reeves is still skeptical of the metaverse with the view that it is purely a system of manipulation.
However, he was found to be interested in crypto after having previously bought some digital assets but until now his holdings have not been released.
