Google is ready to launch a new competitor Bard ChatGPT
Marking the start of a fierce AI race among Big Tech
Google finally announced the chatbot technology being prepared to 'fight' ChatGPT.
The technology, called Google Bard AI, is built on the LaMDA artificial intelligence model that Google has been developing for years.
The announcement indirectly marks the latest phase of fierce competition in Silicon Valley to become the leading company in the implementation of artificial intelligence.
It is understood that the Bard will be available to the public in the coming weeks, where before its launch it has been opened for testing by trusted parties.
Some of the features being tested are a chatbot called Apprentice Bard and a web search platform that can provide a question and answer format.
In its current format, the Google search engine only responds to keywords with strings of relevant links.
The move comes after the OpenAI chatbot ChatGPT, in which Microsoft also cooperates as a lead investor and implementer, received a warm welcome at its public appearance on November 30, 2022.
ChatGPT has opened many people's eyes to what AI can do and made investors more interested in the Big Tech AI race.
With the presence of Bard and the advantage of being owned by Google, it will be the latest competitor for ChatGPT.
Not only Google, China also refused to be left behind in this race after Baidu also launched the same technology called 'Ernie Bot'.
