Gold Investors Have To Be Careful With Powell!

 Gold moved slowly as investors took a cautious approach pending testimony from the Federal Reserve (Fed) Chairman before Congress.


In the Asian session, the yellow metal was stable at around $1,846 per ounce, while gold futures traded at $1,852 per ounce.


Powell will present a semiannual monetary policy report before Congress on Tuesday and Wednesday.



Investors are now bracing for any indication of the central bank's policy direction next, which may be delivered by the head of the US central bank.


Earlier, China set a 5% target for its economic growth in 2023, which is the lowest forecast in more than 25 years.


The moderate forecast impacted the stock and commodity markets to start the trading week on a slightly gloomy note.
