To encourage demand, Tesla further lowered the prices of its two most expensive electric vehicles (EVs) in the United States.
This is the fifth adjustment since the start of the year, which saw price cuts of up to 4% on the model S sedan and 9% on the model X SUV.
According to the company's website, the S model is now priced at $89,900 from A$94,990, a 5.2% drop, while the S Plaid model is down 4.3% to $109,990.
While the X model is down 9.1% to $99,990 from $109,990, while the X Plaid model is now worth $109,990, down 8.3% from $119,990.
These cuts are not surprising, especially since CEO Elon Musk has repeatedly said Tesla will focus on lowering prices to stimulate demand.
This move is also seen to have paid off, where there is an increase in orders following the global discount introduced last January.
Tesla slashed car prices in all its markets in January, offering discounts of up to 20% that many analysts interpreted as the start of a price war by the EV market leader.
