Crypto exchange Binance is facing various FUDs, among which is the rumor that CEO CZ received a red notice from Interpol. This led to a drop in the crypto price of BNB although the rumor was later denied. CZ said the rumor was spread using photoshopped images. Meanwhile, in line with his message calling to 'ignore FUD' and the crypto industry need to unite to fight rumours.
FUD notices surrounding Interpol to Binance CEO started when a cryptic message was decoded to mean 'Interpol Red Alert for CZ'. The message, decoded with the SHA-256 algorithm. CZ denied the allegations saying the alleged red notices were spread using photoshopped images. He also doubted if the rumors were among competitors.
At one point, BNB price saw a 3% drop due to FUD surrounding Interpol speculation. Further pressure could spell disaster for the crypto market given Binance's dominance in terms of crypto exchange market share.
CZ says that speculation like this hurts the industry as well as those who plant the rumours. He added that the industry is already facing major concerns in the form of regulatory scrutiny.
Meanwhile, Bitcoin price is trading steadily around the $28,000 level despite some FUD involving Binance.
