Apple shares hit an all-time high on Monday ahead of the 2023 Apple Worldwide Developers Conference which saw its biggest new product launch since 2015.
At the event, Apple unveiled its first mixed reality headset, the Apple Vision Pro, which has been long awaited by fans of the tech giant.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Apple, Tim Cook said that the new product will seamlessly combine the real world and the virtual world.
The Apple Vision Pro looks different from other headsets on the market, and Apple uses the phrase 'augmented reality' to describe what the new device does.
According to the company, as soon as the user wears the device, they will be able to see the application displayed directly in front.
In addition, it also displays various unique experiences from the product, including applications for medicine, productivity and entertainment.
With a price of $3,499 (RM16,000), Apple Vision Pro is expected to be released early next year in the United States.
In addition to the launch of the Apple Vision Pro, the tech firm also launched several new Mac computers and provided updates on the latest operating systems for iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV and Apple Watch.
Following the event, Apple shares pared some gains to close lower at $179.05 after hitting an all-time high of $184.95.
