"Hey, why is this crypto so hated by so many people, it's not like they did anything wrong."
Balaji Srinivasan, the former Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of the cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase warned that some of the most prominent technology companies in the world will betray the people of the United States (US) one day.
If the G7 countries allow the confiscation of digital assets then tech giants like Apple, Microsoft and Google can help them, Srinivasan said in an interview on the Impact Theory podcast.
As part of efforts to recover from the recession, the US may seize digital assets including Bitcoin (BTC) in the future while tech companies can scan people's devices to hand over private keys to authorities.
Even so, the G7 countries will face real problems if they act in this way and their money will be more affected after many countries start raising questions about whether the G7 and China can seize digital assets or not.
But if they can't confiscate digital assets, it means that the community can own crypto or digital gold without any limitations or obstacles that could negatively affect investors.
Srinivasan, who elaborated on why he really believes that technology companies can help the government seize digital assets, has revealed that Apple, Google including Microsoft have access to operating systems.
There is no denying that is the thing that worries him the most since Apple has software updates and Google can access someone's Google Drive while Microsoft has Windows.
The string, the tech company could theoretically scan a person's hard drive and then take their private keys to seize their digital assets if directed by the government.
