After a flurry of posts about X and digital assets, billionaire Elon Musk has finally confirmed that the X social media platform formerly known as Twitter has absolutely no plans to launch a cryptocurrency.
Musk wasted no time addressing the issue of fraudulent tokens like X and TwitterDAO (TWITTER) right after he saw the post by DogeDesigner.
DogeDesigner has warned the crypto community to always be wary of scam token related articles following neither Musk nor X ever launching any crypto.
But it should be noted that Musk had previously planned to integrate crypto as a payment option on X, so traders are wondering if he will introduce a new digital asset or choose his favorite token, Dogecoin (DOGE).
However, the appointment of Linda Yaccarino as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of X has raised some doubts about the use of DOGE but Musk's latest comments managed to revive optimistic sentiment among the memecoin's investors.
Explained in more detail, Musk recently announced his goal to turn Twitter into a platform X called the everything app.
It is also worth noting that the price of DOGE saw an increase of more than 2% in a few hours after Musk confirmed that he has no intention of launching a crypto.
Despite this, DOGE price is currently trading back down by 1.09% at $0.07 in the last 24 hours with the $10 billion market cap having slipped 5.21% over the last week.
