"Hmm it's a little bit, but are there any Malaysian millionaires who hold crypto?"
Henley & Partners, a London-based investment migration consulting firm reports that there are more than 40,000 cryptocurrency millionaires in the world who successfully hold Bitcoin (BTC).
According to the "Crypto Wealth Report" published yesterday, Henley & Partners revealed that around 88,200 millionaires worldwide have held digital assets and more than 40,500 are found to be investing in BTC.
Not only that, 78 of the 182 individuals who hold over $100 million in crypto are staunch BTC supporters while six of the 22 digital asset traders holding $1 billion have amassed their wealth through BTC trading.
Also worth noting there are 56.1 millionaires on earth as of July 2023 and this shows that less than 0.2% have holdings in crypto.
According to Juerg Steffen, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Henley & Partners, his firm has received an increase in the number of inquiries about crypto by billionaires in the last six months.
This is because the billionaire is now not only trying to protect himself from possible bans on trade or consumption in the future but also reducing the risk of an increasingly aggressive fiscal policy.
Although the name of the crypto millionaire is not clearly mentioned, among the famous individuals who have long joined the world of digital assets are CEO of Digital Currency Group Barry Silbert, co-founders of Gemini Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss including CEO of Binance Changpeng Zhao (CZ).
In addition, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong, Ripple co-founder Chris Larsen and not forgetting MicroStrategy founder Michael Saylor.
