"Cuban must be sad, but luckily the hacker didn't have time to take everything."

Famous investor Mark Cuban's hot wallet, which has been inactive for almost five months, was reportedly hacked on September 15 three days ago when almost $900,000 in cryptocurrency was quickly withdrawn.

Through observation, some digital assets such as USD Coin (USDC), Tether (USDT) and Lido Staked Ether (stETH) were suddenly removed from the Cuban wallet within 10 minutes.

Not only that, the $2 million worth of USDC that was also issued and sent to the wallet has led an independent blockchain detective called Wazz to suspect that Cuban may have just transferred his digital assets.

However, Cuban who said that he had used Metamask for the first time in months, the hacker's view may have been watching him for a long time and was just waiting for the right time to hack the hot wallet.

He added that he had transferred the remaining digital assets to Coinbase Custody, so it was possible to confirm the transaction of $2 million in USDC was made by Cuban.

However, it should be noted that the entire crypto community believes that the fraudsters did the hacking through a security breach rather than simply observing Cuban's activities.

Despite this, some have suggested that Cuban may have mistakenly signed a 'malicious' transaction while others believe that his private key was compromised as the funds were transferred directly from the wallet.

Earlier in June 2021, Cuban once lost the amount of capital and became a victim of "rug pull" after the stablecoin project called Iron Finance exploded.
