The leaders of the world's richest and most powerful countries will attend the two-day G20 Summit in the Indian capital, New Delhi, which begins on September 9.

This is the first time that India is hosting a group of world leaders. The capital has been decorated with decorative flowers and showers at traffic centers, while public buildings have also been repainted.

20 major countries in the world have formed an economic group after the Asian financial crisis in 1999 with the understanding that such a crisis can no longer occur within national borders and requires better international economic cooperation.

This group now accounts for 80% of global gross domestic product (GDP) and 75% of international trade.

Members of this group include Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States, and European Union.

In this session in India, the group has focused on discussions on more loans to developing countries from multilateral institutions, the renewal of the international debt scenario, regulations on cryptocurrencies, and the impact of geopolitical uncertainty on food and energy security. .

To date this year, the group has failed to issue any joint statement referring to the war in Ukraine. While on the other hand, Russia and China oppose the view that blames Moscow for the war in Ukraine.

India's G20 theme is taken from the Sanskrit phrase "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam" which means "The World is One Family."
