Higher than his previous prediction, the analyst and cryptocurrency expert called Dark Defender expects that the price of Ripple (XRP) will climb up to 1,100% to reach $5.85.
After XRP managed to break its first resistance zone at $0.55, Dark Defender believes that the price can retest at $0.66 in the short term.
It should be noted that this is not the first time that Dark Defender has predicted a rise in the price of XRP, following his August 2023 prediction that the digital asset will break through $3 or more.
However, the crypto analyst currently predicts that XRP will reach $5.85, but the price will have to break through $0.66 first before continuing its rise up to $1.33 followed by the next resistance zone.
As for when the new high will occur, Dark Defender said that the price of XRP could reach $5.85 in 2026 as he thinks the entire crypto market will see bullish momentum again that year.
Despite not performing as well as other digital assets, XRP remains the fifth largest crypto with a market capitalization of $27 billion, where its price is currently trading at $0.37.
On the other hand, XRP including various other digital assets has been adopted as a payment option by the giant Japanese car manufacturer, Honda which has signed an agreement with the blockchain payment system FCF Pay.
