Today, Bursa Malaysia ended the morning trading session lower due to profit taking in selected heavyweight stocks. It reflects Wall Street's recent weak performance.
At exactly 12.30 this afternoon, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) fell 8.44 points to 1,454.96 compared to yesterday's 1,463.40.
The barometer index reached a high of 1,460.59 in the morning and then fell to a low of 1,454.52 before closing this afternoon.
Today's market sentiment is negative where losers lead gainers by 476 compared to 287. While, 423 counters are unchanged, 1,188 are not traded.
Malacca Securities Bhd reported higher-than-estimated Nvidia market profit-taking activity and the firm expects the profit-taking activity to spill over to local stocks.

Capital A rose three sen to 86 sen, Widad Group fell to 46 sen, Perdana Petroleum lost 1.5 sen and My E.G. Services increased to 82 sen.
